PRIVACY POLICY

Olympus Siege  ·  Effective 30 August 2026

Olympus Siege ("the game", "we") is a mobile game published by an independent developer. This policy explains what data the game handles, why, and what your choices are. The short version: the game collects no email address, no real name, no contacts, and no location. Data leaves your device for three things only: the global leaderboard and your profile's backup for moving between devices, crash diagnostics (both section 2), and the optional rewarded adverts you choose to watch (section 4).

1. DATA STORED ON YOUR DEVICE

All of your game progress — currencies, upgrades, relics, achievements, settings, and the current defense — is stored locally on your device and remains fully playable offline. A copy of your gameplay progress is backed up to our servers (section 2) so the leaderboard works and so you can move your profile to a new device with your transfer code.

2. DATA STORED ON OUR SERVERS

To operate the global leaderboard and let you move your profile between devices, our servers store your game profile:

DataPurpose
Defender name — a display name you choose yourself Shown on the global leaderboard next to your score
Gameplay statistics — your best wave reached Your leaderboard ranking
Gameplay progress backup — your saved progression (currencies, upgrades, relics, achievements, purchases, the current defense) Moving your whole profile to a new device via the transfer code
Hashed identifiers — a random, game-generated profile ID stored in hashed form Ties your score to your profile; enables device transfer
Crash diagnostics — if the game hits an unexpected error: the error message and technical stack trace, which screen it happened on, your wave number, your device/browser user-agent string, and your public player ID Finding and fixing crashes. Deleted automatically after 30 days. Your secret profile code is never included.

That is the complete list. The defender name is free-form text of your choosing and does not need to be (and shouldn't be) your real name. The game itself collects no email address, account registration, password, device fingerprint, or location data, and we never receive your advertising identifier — the advertising SDK described in section 4 handles that directly and does not pass it to us. (A purchase in the web shop shares your checkout email with us — see section 5.)

This data is stored with Google Firebase (Google Cloud) in the europe-west1 region (Belgium, European Union). Google acts as our hosting processor; the data is not shared with, sold to, or used by anyone else.

3. WHAT IS PUBLIC

The leaderboard is public by design: your chosen defender name and best wave are visible to other players in the game's leaderboard screen. Nothing else about you is visible to anyone.

4. ANALYTICS, TRACKING & ADVERTISING

The game runs no analytics SDK. Nothing tracks how you play, what you tap, or how long you play for. The only technical reporting is the crash diagnostics described in section 2.

Advertising. The game shows rewarded adverts only — short videos you choose to watch, in one place: refilling the Gift of the Gods in the Emporium. There are no banners, no pop-ups, and no advert you did not ask for. Nothing in the game is gated behind watching one. Adverts are served by Google AdMob, and Google acts as an independent controller of the data it collects for that purpose under Google's own privacy policy. To serve an advert, AdMob may access your device's advertising identifier and technical information about your device. That identifier never reaches our servers.

Your choice. In the European Economic Area and the UK you are shown a consent form the first time the game opens, and you can decline personalised advertising; declining does not stop you playing or watching adverts. On iOS you are separately asked for permission to track — choosing Ask App Not to Track means the advertising identifier is not used for tracking. You can change your mind at any time in your device settings. Buying the Wanderer's Satchel removes adverts from the game entirely.

5. PURCHASES

If you buy something through an app store (Google Play or the App Store), the payment is processed entirely by that store under its own privacy policy — we never see your payment details. To confirm a purchase is genuine, the game sends the store's purchase receipt to our server, which checks it with the store; that receipt identifies what was bought, not who you are or how you paid. Purchases in the web shop on this site are processed by a dedicated merchant of record under its own policy; we never see your payment details there either. For each web-shop order the merchant shares the order details with us, including the email address used at checkout, which we keep in our order records solely to match the purchase to a game profile, process refunds, and answer purchase support. It is never used for marketing and never shared with anyone else. Order records can be deleted on request per section 6, except where a record of the sale must be retained for accounting.

6. DATA RETENTION & DELETION

Your server-side profile is kept for as long as it remains on the leaderboard system. You can request deletion of your server-side data (defender name, score, and identifiers) at any time by emailing olympussiege.dev@gmail.com — include your defender name and, if possible, your transfer code so we can locate the profile. Deletion is completed within 30 days. Local data on your device can be removed at any time by uninstalling the game or clearing its app data.

7. YOUR RIGHTS

Depending on where you live (including under the EU GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Since the only personal data we hold is the short list in section 2, any such request can be handled quickly — email us at the address above.

8. CHILDREN

The game is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. The only free-form data the game accepts is the defender name; if you believe a child has submitted personal information as a defender name, contact us and we will remove it.

9. SECURITY

Server-side data is held in Google Cloud infrastructure, accessible only through the game's own backend functions — there is no direct public access to the database. Profile identifiers are stored hashed, so a database leak would not expose usable profile secrets.

10. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

If the game's data practices change, we will update this page and its effective date before the change ships. The 30 August 2026 revision added the rewarded adverts described in section 4 and the crash diagnostics in section 2.
